Tanker 4
The department has purchased a new Hale portable pump for Tanker 4, and now has it install along with a new dump tank. Also we have installed a ladder rank so we can carry a 12' extension ladder on the tanker. This will be the first time in the history of this truck that it has a pump on it.
This is Tanker 4 a 1972 GMC 2 1/2 ton truck. Has a 3800 gallon water tank with a Hale hp 400 pump that has a discharge rate of 500 GPM. It has a 12" dump valve mounted at the rear of the truck and a 2 1/2" hose connection for filling and a 2 1/2" hose connection to connect our booster or pumper truck to. Carries a 2200 gallon dump tank, hard suction hoses, 200' of 2 1/2" hose, 400' of 1 1/2 hose, nozzles, 2 SCBA's, and a 12' extenion ladder. Can also be used to fight fires as a mid-sized pumper or as a portable fire hydrant in areas without water supplies. Was bought in 1999 from the Lakewood VFD in Minnesota. Tanker 4 is used in all mutual aid water shuttle operations.
