This is Rescue 2, R2 for short, a 1982 Chevy 1 ton type II ambulance. It carried the AED, suction, oxygen, and truma and medical supplies. It was donated to the dept. by the Upshur County Ambulance Service. Was retired from the Harmony VFD in July of 2000 and was donated to the Glenwood Volunteer Fire Department to serve as their Rescue Truck. |

This is the first Truck 2. A 1978 GMC 1 ton 4x4 truck. It had a 250 gallon water tank with a 300 GPM pump and was a weps foam unit. Bought in 1982 it made 95 % of all fire calls from the day it started in the fire service until it was retired in 1995 and replaced by the 1989 Dodge brush truck 2. |

This is first Truck 4. A 1948 American La France Pumper. Bought by us in 1981 it was refitted with a 800 gallon water tank and had a 300 GPM midship pump. Served unitl it was tired from all active service in 1991. Also served in the Lewisville Texas fire department. This old truck saw alot of action during its 43 years fire service career. |
