ENGINE 2
This is the new Harmony Fire Department Engine 2. Engine 2 is a wildland/urban interface firefighting truck. It is a 2004 Ford F-650 with a firefighting flat bed style bed.
It has a 625 gallon poly water tank, a Hale 800 gpm portable volume fire pump powered by a 46 hp VW diesel 4 cylinder motor, a 15 gallon foam tank and a Robwen foam injector unit. It will have 2 - 1 1/2" preconnected hose lines, 2 - 1" twin whip lines for grass fires, and a Hanney electric hose reel with 200' of 1" hose. It will also carry 500' of 1 1/2" hose, 500' of 2 1/2" hose, 3 SCBA's and spare bottles mounted in one of the compartments, ventilation van, Ramsey wench mounted on the front bumper, first aid equipment, 400' of 1 1/2" Forestry fire hose, 1" and 1 1/2" foam nozzles,  rakes, shovels, axes, and NFPA lighting for use in the urban interface. This truck was built being built by A. G. Meir Ind. in Belton, Tx and was placed in service in mid May, 2004.
         This truck was funded primarily through a grant from the Texas Forestry Service, and the rest was funded through various fund raisers and donations.
