SHOPPING TIPS

MY ONE AND ONLY TIP:
Costco is really the only place anyone should buy anything from.

Evidence:
1.) Purchased a Computer around 1999 (it wuz 4-5 years ago, that's all I remember), it was only 330 MHZ, 8 GB Hardrive, CD-ROM (NO CD-RW)...in other words, really crappy NOW
2.) Messed it up A LOT for many years
    ex.) Broke the floppy drive when I put a broken disk in it
3.) About 2 weeks ago I discovered KAZZALITE and tried to download Windows XP
4.) Some installation problems, missing .dll files or something, caused this cheap computer to crash horribly (seriously, I couldn't even log on)
5.) I tell my dad my computers busted (not the real reason), and he randomly decides to get himself a new computer and gives me his old one (no we're not rich, actually we are quite poor)
6.) My dad says "I'm gonna see if I can return ur computer and get a refund" (retail value at the time, with monitor, wuz about $1,700 I believe)
7.) My dad picks me up from CT Gym with the great news, he succeeded in returning a practically 5 year old computer to Costco, relatively EASY too!
8.) The first person he talked to said it wouldn't be possible, but my dad made up some crap about not being judgmental or something, and talked to somebody else. All I know is that now Costco has a 6 month return policy, but my dad, intelligently says, "But at the time this policy wuz not in effect, and the retailer assured me that I would be able to return the computer as long as I had the receipt." This is usually the case.
9.) AFTER crediting my dad for over $1,700, the 'return-lady' asks, "so y r u returning this?" Calmly, my dad explains that the A-drive doesn't work, and overall the computer wuz not functioning well. HAHAHAHA, I thought I wuz a good BSer!!!!!
10.) In summary, we got a complete refund for a basically TRASHED computer that we bought years in advanced. Try doing this at Best Buy, Fry's, Microcenter, Circuit City... anywhere, and I guaranteed u'll be denied almost everywhere even after a mere month! SO BUY FROM COSTCO, B/C AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE RECEIPT, YOU CAN BASICALLY RETURN THINGS AT ANY TIME! (this is, however, not a guarantee, so don't buy anything really expensive and think u'll definitely be able to return it next year)


*also, please do not reveal this nonsense to ne1, or to Costco employees, keep it to urself, and use it! Just thought I should share. If you don't got a Costco membership, what the heck are u doin'? Costco has FREE SAMPLES!!!!!!
