Biography
Hong Kong's Canto-pop music scene has been dominated by four "Heavenly Kings" - four male singers who have huge separated, fanatic fan baces. Aaron Kwok is one of this Kings. As the youngest member of this elite group, he is also acknowledged as the one with the biggest potential to continue adding more and more fans to his already huge following. Aaron Kwok is a dancer of considerable talent, having started his career in the entertainment business in 1984 as a formally-trained dancer with Hong Kong's foremost television network - TVB. His good looks soon caught the attention of record executives and he was quickly signed by the Capital Artist. His breakthrough came with a Taiwan Commercial Film, which won him a lot of attention in Taiwan. In order to persue his career future, he decided to start his singing career in Hong Kong. He was an instant sucess with a number of huge albums under his belt over the next few years. In late 1993 Aaron signed with Warner Music and his status has grown to superstar proportions. Apart from Hong Kon, Aaron has fan clubs in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. In 1994, he undertoo a region-wide tour, playing in front of hundreds of his fans across Asia. In May, 1995 his album "Tale of Innocence" has gained considerable sucess, the theme song has hit the No. 1 position of the Commercial Radio 2 Ultimate Song Chart for 3 weeks and 2 weeks No.1 on the TVB Jade Solid Gold Song Chart. His new Cantonese album "A Magic to City" release in October 1998 has hit the No. 1 position on the Hong Kong IFPI charts for 3 weeks. To demonstrate his versatility as an all-raound performer, Aaron has also appeared in numerous TV dramas, movie and television commercials. To name a few, Aaron has been invited to participate in the large scale asvertising campaign for Pepsi-cola and Citibank. He is in constant demand for promotional appearances and his concert are legendry for their extravagant stages, lavish coustumes and dramatic setting. In 1994 Aaron played 16 consecutive nighs at the 12,000 seats Hong Kong Coliseum - a stunning secess. In July, 1996, he has hit his own record and played 18 consecutive nights at the same venue. Such record has been broken in 1998 ehere Aaron has held 25 consecutive nights of "Pepsi Aaron Kwok Live In Concert 1998." Besides, Aaron is eager to attend various charity functions and social activities. He always participates in charity shows performance, charity sale, visiting elders, and fund raising activities. Aaron is also appointed as "Star of Flight Against Crime", "Star of Kindness" and "Star of Olympics 2000".
