Masochist-Hands on the Bible

After the year of the bet ends, the innocent Subaru who had existed was dead. His sister murdered by the man he loved, Subaru turned into a bitter young man.

For nine years after the bet ended, the young onmyouji spent his time searching for the Sakurazukamori, the one he had loved, all the while training himself to his limits in onmyoujitsu. Through his intense efforts, and the fact that he was fated to be one of the Ten no Ryu, he shortly became the most powerful practitioner of light onmyoujitsu known.

Behind it all, he has been entirely focused on that one man: Sakurazuka Seishirou. His mind is constantly fixated upon him. He has even taken up the older man's habit of smoking, saying that the small similarity brings him closer to understanding him.

Presumably, the purpose behind all of Subaru's efforts is to bend revenge upon Seishirou (for his sister's death and for his own broken heart), by killing him. But, is this truly his aim?

PERSONALITY (in brief)

Subaru was once a blushing, shy, overly-polite, naive teenager. All that is left of that personality is the politeness. Subaru is dark and melancholy. He rarely speaks, and when he does, it is brief and concise. He very, very rarely ever genuinely smiles.

CURRENT NEWS

Subaru's first encounter with Seishirou did not go so well. They met beneath the Sakurazuka, and fought a strained battle (strained at least on Subaru's part). He managed to injure the Sakurazukamori minimally, but the words the other spoke to Subaru cut the young man to pieces. Seishirou won the battle, although refused to kill Subaru, once again melting away in illusion.
So, the onmyouji went back to his apartment for tea and sleep. It appeared that Seishirou was not done with his prey yet, for the assassin broke through Subaru's window in a late-night visit to his apartment. The two exchanged words and tea, and Subaru grew angry and tearful once again when Seishirou offered to let Subaru kill him. Seishirou eventally left, leaving his prey more broken than before.
Early the next day, Subaru went out for an excorsism at a small church. There he also met one of the Angels, Kigai Yuuto. Surprisingly, the other was quite amiable, and Subaru found himself liking the other man quite a bit, though he was still very wary of him. Yuuto left Subaru with his work and personal phone numbers.
After that encounter, the young onmyouji wandered over to a high school (by accident) and ran into none other than the Kamui. Shirou Kamui was standoffish and defensive at first, until Subaru explained the Final Day to him, and told him that he wasn't interested in getting involved either. The two hit off rather well, and are now sharing a lunch of ramen and talking.
