Welcome to my Suede - London page!!! This page is devoted to my recent trip to London to see Suede play 5 sold out shows at the ICA. Read more about the event below... "Having pioneered a distinctive 90s sound, a melodic and charming kitchen sink fayness, Suede has also embraced the art scene of that time with record covers designed by Wolfgang Tillmans and Peter Saville. Indeed in many ways Suede are to Brit pop what Damien Hirst is to the YBAs. This series of events will reflect on the less commercial collaborations of a band who continue to innovate in and out of the limelight. Suede will be taking over the ICA from Monday 22 September [2003] for a week-long celebration of their illustrious career as creative pioneers. Suede will play five unique concerts, each of them featuring a different Suede album in its entirety. This will be the first and only time many of these songs are performed live in public. To make each night even more special, Suede will encore with a selection of singles, chosen by the audience themselves from the broad sweep of Suede's rich musical heritage." (source: www.ica.org.uk)
