| "I always liked 'techno,' even before I knew the difference between REAL techno, trance, jungle and all the electronic music genres. I dug it!" DJ Berzerk, Joe Maldonado, got his feet wet with the "rave" scene back in 2000 when he had turned 21 and was a regular at a gentleman's club. He got to know one of the girls that was a dancer very well and was invited to his first rave, Electric Daisy Carnival. "To be totally honest I was going because it was me, one of my friends and 6 HOT STRIPPERS! It may sound over dramatic, but that night changed my life." He got more and more involved in the party scene and when he hooked up with a friend DJ Koma, he would mess around on the turntables and try to learn. Not getting serious about Djing until after Cyberfest '01, when he saw DJ Kai spin, what was to him, the sickest set in his life he fell in love with the Hard House sound. Hooking up with, then members of CFX/GetUp Productions, Carlos and Steven, he was asked to spin at Communion.
