Made my face swell like I had the mumps off and on for 5 years or so before the doctors finally figured it out and surgically fixed the problem.
Hoof and Mouth Disease:
usually transmitted by barnyard animals, and AKA "Hand, Foot and Mouth disease" or "Herpangina" (what a horrible name!) in humans. This was my least favorite disease.
Pneumonia:
Well, I guess a lot of people get this, but it still sucked.
Dysentery:
Got it while in Africa, probably after eating bad goat. Cured with four pills the size of Rhode Island that probably destroyed more of my digestive system than intended.
Mysterious Sinus Infection:
Also caught in Africa. Made one of my eyes swell shut. Cured with 7 different medications from a small African clinic as well as a treatment of breathing through a gas mask emitting sulfur fumes for hours at a time (Funny to watch, not so funny to breathe).
Lupus:
My latest and greatest disease. Probably explains my bizarre health history of, among other things, catching weird diseases. Good excuse to miss work.
