I haven't really done anything with the suspension or engine, but Festiva Motorsport has an entire list of options for the suspension. Obviously lowering the car would drop the vehicles center of gravity which would increase handling. In the future, I might air strut the car. I had a 98' escort zx2 2.0 motor & trans that I was originally going to squeeze into the festiva. But the intake on the motor kept hitting the fire-wall. Maybe if you didn't mind being able to look at the motor from inside the car that might be cool. I am on the search for a 88-89 mazda 323 gt(Or 2 wheel drive gtx if they make one. I need to have the two wheel drive tranny) I want to do a turbo motor swap. More info to come on the swap when I do it. UPDATE 3/10 My engine(1.3L) Kept spewing oil all over the engine compartment. After having clocked over 60K on the car since I bought it, it was not suprising. I needed to replace the half shafts in the car for the third time so I removed the head and bought another. Since the head was off I tought it would be cool to port and polish the intake. Here are some pics. After I install the intake, I will present some of those pics. UPDATE 3/28 It turns out, I popped a hole in the #1 piston. I pulled the motor apart and rebuilt it. I threw another piston in. and she's running great. While I am searching for the fabled B6T motor, I figured I would work the 1.3 until I found the turbo motor. This is going to include any hop up I can imagine. Ultimately a turbo. In the mean time, I purchased some suspension parts. I will put up a step by step on how to do the swaps. |
