I had to replace my balljoints. It's fairly simple once you get everything apart. Undo the nut on the end of the swaybar, remove the bolt on the other end of the lower control arm. The assembly should with a little force come free. Replace the old unit with a new one and reassemble. You should tighten the nut on the swaybar as tight as possible. Make sure you intall a NEW retaining pin in the end of the threading. This keeps the nut from vibrating loose.
This is what everything should look like after replacing the balljoint.
Reassembly Is just the reverse of the dissassembly. Make sure you use all of the Aspire parts. There are some issues with the brake hoses. You will have to clearance the hoses to fit the car or clearance the car to fit the hoses. The Festiva pieces and the Aspire pieces (Brake hoses) are almost identical. But the Aspire hoses are smaller in diameter where they mount to the car. Reassemble everything observing torque specifications. Install the CV half-shaft nut, torque it and make sure you crimp the end to keep the nut from coming off. Bleed out the brake system. Mount the new wheels and head to the rear of the vehicle. Now that the front is done with the exception of an alignment you should retro the rear.
