| This is my 1984 MERCURY CAPRI RS. I want to stress although this may look like a 91' Mustang GT, it is not. This is a ongoing project that I have been working on for the last 3-4 years. It currently sports a complete set of groundeffects including lights, hatch, wheels and complete interior from a 91' Mustang GT. It wears a four inch fiberglass cowl induction hood and a fiberglass GTR style wing. |
| The Mercury Capri was the sister car to the Mustang during the early eighties. The Capri (The Fox chassis version) was produced from 1979-1986. The Capri and the Mustang shared the same chassis. Bodies were almost identical. The Capri had flared fenders which gave the car a more muscular stance. Aside from the flares the two cars had different bumpers, lights, hoods and hatches in certain years. But everything else on the cars were the same (interiors, drivelines etc). |
| My car is equipped with a 5 liter (302 windsor) h.o. It has a Edelbrock Performer intake with a Holley Avenger Carb. World class t-5 standard transmission, I upgraded the rear(It originally came with a 7.5 inch rear) to a 8.8" Posi locker with 3.27's in it. |
| YES, I still work on the FESTIVA. I Just had started this project before the Festiva was even around. |
