THE RULES (Follow or be swatted with an oversized fly swatter!)
1. There are only FIVE basic dragon colors. Males are bronze, brown, or blue.
Females are either gold or green. Same goes for fire lizards.
2. Males may impress Bronze, Brown, Blue and rarely Green. (Men who impress Blue and green are usualy Bisexual or homosexual.) Females may impress Gold, Blue and Green Dragons. VERY RARELY a Brown may impress female but like impressng Gold's and Bronzes, it is a high rank and must be earned.
* As golds and bronzes are privileges to Impress and come with responsibility, they will be awarded on how well a person keeps up with the threads, content of the posts (Good writing creativity, post quality, participation, ect.) and how well the person gets along with everybody and follows the rules in general.*
3. Candidates for the Hatching Grounds must perform daily tasks about the Weyr until the next Hatching, which will be posted as an OOC notice.
4. Post format should be in third person past tense, like most fiction books.
Dragon-person or person-dragon speech should be place in <>. Regular conversation, just use "". ASK me for approval if you want your character to HAD (Hear All Dragons). There will be a limited number.
5. All mating flights and hatchings will be supervised by me. If you would like to post anything along those lines, ask and I will give you some guidelines.
6. Keep posts clean. Avoid excess use of Pernese swearing (Like "Shards!"
or "Sands"), and absolutely NO adult material unsuitable for younger players. You want to do that, go find a chat that does it. Not here.
7. As stated on the homepage, no characters even resembling those of Anne McGaffery. They belong to her. Also, no mention of them or of the Weyrs and Holds of the books. This is OUR rp, and out of respect for Anne's letting us use her world, we'll write our own story.
8. NO SPAMMING! This is my biggest pet peeve, and I will become irate if you do it. If you'd like to invite some of our members to see your site, make sure it pertains to either Pern or roleplaying. But as for advertising, there's a cool site on Yahoo groups called Weyrplug set aside specifically for that purpose.
9.Play nice. Please don't harass the other members, or control their characters without permission. (Flits and NPCs can be moved around, but I'll let someone know if they're taking it too far). First time gets a warning, second time gets you suspended, third strike you're out. Period.
10. Please try to keep as close to the Pern time and setting. AVIAS has not been discovered, there's no major technological advances, and so forth. Stick with the clothes, speech, and manner of the time and place. Roleplay is like acting. You have to play the part in order to make it really good.
11. Try to be as active as possible. If you have a situation where you won't be able to post for a while, notify me as well as the people you're playing with so that we don't think you've vanished into thin air. :) Also let people know when you're back so that things can pick up where they left off.
12. Any questions, ASK. It never hurt. If I don't know, one of the other members will. Other than that, relax and have fun!
12) Only dragon's names end in th. Human and Firelizard names can end in anything but th. Only Dragonriders can have honorifics (ex: F'lar). Please keep the names to a reasonable lenghth, Kalyeannadora's and Robynstienn's are very irritating to have to type over and over again, normaly a nice seven or eight letter name will do fine! >:)
