Timeline

Year Event
1982 Launched. Built for the BC Ministry of Transportation and Highways Marine Branch.
1985 October - The Quinsam joined the BC Ferries fleet when the Ministry of Transportation and Highways salt water service joined BC Ferries.
2000 A leak in the hull of the Quinsam put her out of service for a few days, upsetting the commuters and people living on Gabriola Island.
2002 Spring - The Quinsam underwent a refit which included new engines and a new sewage treatment system.
