FERRET SHELTER NORTHWEST
FERRET SHELTER NORTHWEST
Thanks for visiting our new website! We at FERRET SHELTER NORTHWEST are dedicated to providing healthful sanctuary for ferrets - those loveable, yet challenging little critters so many buy and so few keep.

We are located on Vashon Island in the state of Washington, a little southwest of Seattle!

We are a no-kill, 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that specializes in caring for unadoptable ferrets, i.e., those that have medical needs, are too old to adopt out, or have been abused.

Aside from local fundraisers, we encourage eBay Sellers to donate 10-100% of their sales to FERRET SHELTER NORTHWEST.Just select us from the "donate to non-profit pull-down menu when you list items for auction.

We also encourage you to mark our primary eBay seller - ferretamerica - as a "Favorite Seller". This seller donates 100% of auction sales - unless otherwise stated - to the shelter.

ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBE. Payments can also be made directly to the shelter via PAYPAL. Our PAYPAL ID is: ferretamerica@yahoo.com.

Tigger was the first ferret in our shelter. He was rescued from what would have been a short life under a downtown Seattle Bridge in 1999. PIXIE was rescued from a garbage can, flea-ridden and feather light. She's healthy and has buddies now.

BOB was abandoned by his owner, yet is as sweet as they come. He now has four fuzzy friends! MOLLY cannot use her back legs any more, but is active and affectionate. She is another permanent resident with medical needs.

JOSEY has an enlarged spleen. She was a rescue from abuse and came to us fearful of everyone. She is now friendly and "kissy" - a sweetheart! TIGGER, WOODY and RASCAL were our first three shelter ferrets. All have now crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
