These are my research notes for Daniel Williams



Daniel Williams and Esther (Hester) Reeves were married in 1847 in White Co, IL



The 1850 census has them in White Co, birth dates 1823 for Daniel and 1825 for Hester

The 1850 census also has them with one son, Charles, born 1849 (1 year old)



The 1860 census has Daniel Williams living with his father-in-law, Jehiel Reeves, working as a laborer.  birth year changed to 1818.  There is no sign of Esther or Charles, only 7 year old George.

OR

Living with Bacon family (Esther’s sister) in White Co, birth date 1832



The 1870 census has George Williams living with Jehiel Reeves (maternal grandfather).  I have found no trace of Daniel Williams on the 1870 census



George Williams (our ancester) was married to Charolotte Smith in White Co, IL on 4-10-1875.



The 1880 census has their birth dates as George b 1852, Charlotte b. 1858.  Their children on the census were Esther, Mary, and George.  George’s parents are listed as born in Illinois, Charlotte’s were born in Scotland.



The 1890 census is does not exist for White Co, IL



1900 Censes has Charlotte as head of household for her family, living in Carmi.  The children were Ester - 24, Mary E - 22, George D - 20, Charles R - 19, Luther -17, John H - 14, Ernest E -8 - All moved to Portland, OR



There are no land records for Daniel Williams in White Co
