"It is the only sensual pleasure without vice."

Samuel Johnson (1709-84), English author, lexicographer.

Welcome to my web page! Let me tell you a little about myself. I was born in San Bernardino, California, was raised in Grand Terrace, California, and now live just outside Madrid, Spain.  I received an Associates of Arts in Music from San Bernardino Valley College in 1990 and attended the California State University in San Bernardino.  Due to the patter of "little feet" around the house, I did not realize my goal of obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Music, but I did become quite good at changing diapers.  I have played in quite a few bands, from Hard Rock to Jazz.  My "real" job is working as an AS400 computer operator.  Presently I am not involved with a band, so I have been concentrating on composing.  I won't get into the boring details, because this site is about turning you on to some of this music.  There are three original tunes freely available for downloading in MP3 format. You can preview these songs in RealAudio so you can decide beforehand whether you want to download.  I will probably rotate my songs out about every month or two with new material, so you might want to check back every so often to see what's on.

Why the web page?  Well, I became interested in the web, like a lot of people, because of the incredible amount of information that is available on-line.  Also, living overseas, I can stay informed about what is happening back home with a click of the trackball.  Besides, who can resist the opportunity for blatant, unabashed self-promotion!  Seriously, I want to see if I can create my own web page, place my tunes on the site and see what kind of response this will generate from web land.  All the songs have been created using a PC as midi sequencer and hard disk recorder, a Roland Sound Canvas sound module, and a Kawai KC10 keyboard as a controller.  Various Charvels, a San Dimas I with DiMarzio Evolution pick-ups and a Model 6 with Seymour Duncan Live Wires, were played through a Mesa/Boogie Formula PreAmp and Mark III to provide the fire.  Some tracks were recorded with a Takamine EC-132 Acoustic/Electric Classical Guitar with a Fishman transducer.  Okay, here are my fifteen minutes of fame, ala Andy Warhol!  Let the downloading begin!  I would like to thank Yolanda and Isabel Calles Burgoa for proofreading my Spanish translation of this page, Rafael Sanchez Adan for taking the pictures from which I choose the one above, also for the use of his bar "Los Rafaeles" as the background, and to Ignacio Sevilla Escobar of "Samac" for scanning and editing the pics.  If you are located in the Madrid area and would like to contact me about collaborating in a musical project, my e-mail is below.

Download and enjoy!  If you would like to comment, have any questions, constructive criticism, or whatever, e-mail me.

Ciao!
