Laperscopic gastricbypass,the surgery that will help me get skinny .
I left for Gulfcost couminuty hospital at 530 am on 18 June 2003. I had my Huge Group of susporters there with me , My mom,Husbond Greg ,My best Friends Michelle,And Tracy , all of there were there holdign my hand and telling me everything would be ok ,I thank god i have all of them in my life today ,I dont think i would have made it with out them holding my hands . I rember going in to the Pre op room and changing in to a hospital dress, and getting a shot ,, i really rember the krispycream dounuts that greg was eatign and i was starving lol.Ialso rembering then bring me to the operating room ,then i rember waking up in a privet room wiht my family all there asking me how i felt. I spent the next few hours trying to wake up , i couldnt feel a thing wiht all the good drugs they gave me .I stayed in the hospital for 5 days , I didnt have any complacations from the surgery,but my oxygan leavels wouldnt stay normal so they wanted to find out why , that is why i stayed so long in the hospital. The hardest thing was getting out of bed and makingmyself walk,also going to the bathroom , But i managed .My mother stayed with me every day in the hospital ,i had the best care of anyone she is a nurse , and my mommie so i was in good hands ! I have seven less then one inch scars that are slowly fading away .
I had a wonderful doctor he was warm and caring and very sinsitive,I trusted him compleatly ,and i woluld let him operate on me anytime . Also in the hospital i recived tons and tons of ballones , cards , floweres , and a pair of size 9 hoochie mooma shorts from my mom.
For me the worst part of staying in the hospital was being away from my animals and sleeping in a hard and strange bed . The Grossest thing about the stay there was having to drink that stuff that when the xrays are done they can find any leaks , that was nasty i think it took me 4 times to drink it and then i barfed .But after drinking that and taking the exrays i was able to go back upstairs to my room and eat for the frist time in 3 days , i wasnt hungry , but the jello was ok . i was glad that i could drink agin too i was so thurstie. I gained like 23 pounds well in the hospital from having all the iv flouids in me , but when i got home i lost all that pluse 20 pounds the first 2 weeks.
I can say that if i had to do this all over agin i would. this has been the best tool for weight loss and has made me feel so much better about myself , and my marrage has gotten better . I just wish i would have done this a few years ago . I love my new life and i treaser every day i wake up breathing . |
