I Ate the Mythology ... & Dreamt

What is offered unto your eyes to behold is the perfect scene. A lush clearing, full of tall grasses thick with moisture. The brush obscures the edge of the cleared area, various shrubs making it difficult to discern where the grasses end and the trees begin. Some smaller saplings dot the area just before the heavy brush begins, whilst beyond them trees more akin to great silent giants dominate. A smallish creek runs nearby, you can here it skipping and laughing over the stones that try to slow it. It also makes the air more crisp... more clean. The temperature is actually very agreeable, something like a morning in early summer, with breezes stirring the warm air. The gates in this place are unlocked. You may enter the enclosure as you please.

At the entrance to the fences habitat is somewhat predictably a sign, one that serves as information display to any visitors. Engraved upon it is this;

History
Azels are fairly new when it comes to the pet world. They are very curious, and love to explore. Azels get along well with almost all other types of pets, but they like to be with their own kind. They are family oriented, and often stick together to form herds. Azels make excellent pets.

Eye Color
Azels can only have certain eye colors, just like humans and other animals. The most common is blue, which can be dark, medium, or light. Next is brown, which comes in just dark or light, and then green. The rarest eye color is hazel.

Markings
Azels can have all different kinds of markings. The most common are socks, which can be any combination of the 4 legs, and could also include the muzzle. They can also have just cuffs, which are like socks but short, and close to the hooves. Stripes are rare, but can be over the whole body, or just the legs. Patches can also be found on Azels in rare cases, and can be very diverse. Other markings do show up as the species evolves, so check back for updates. Azels can also wear jewelry.

Herds and Ranks
If enough Azels get together, they can form a herd! A herd must have 2 Itten (Male & Female), and atleast 2 others of any rank/gender.
-Itten- Top of the list as far as rank goes, these are the leaders of the herd, and are like the 'nobility.' There can only be one male and one female Itten in each herd. Rare.
-Fenna- These are the next step down from the Itten. They can be associated with the 'upper class.' There can be as many Fenna in a herd as you like. Common.
-Nid- The Nid are like the 'middle class,' and you can also have as many as you like. Very Common.
Onar: The Onar are the 'lower class' of the Azel herd. There are no limits on the onar in a herd either. Uncommon.
-Zei- These are EXTREMELY rare, and very good to have in a herd. They will usually have a new or very different marking or coloration, or sometimes jewelry. Extremely Rare.
