The Habitat ~
A sprawling building lay here amongst the various forms of kennels, completely enclosed as far as one would be able to tell from the ouside. Grand doors are present of course, but no windows give hint as to what migt lay within. Scrawled atop the entrance is simply the word 'Ibnae'. Now upon all that clear wall are murals, the creatures therin varying so very drastically that it would appear that all that remained the same was the shapeof the skull. Hard indeed is it to believe that such creatures might all have emerged from the same root.

The Information ~
At the entrance to the fences habitat is somewhat predictably a sign, one that serves as information display to any visitors. Engraved upon it is this;
History
The Ibnae are a diverse and interesting species. They have been around a very long time, and over the years, have adapted to all kinds of environments. They have split into 'breeds,' based on where they live, and their different mutations.
First, their species name, Ibnae, is pronounced [IHB•n(eye)]. When used to refer to many, it is spelled the same but pronounced [IHB•nay]. The singular form is [IHB•nuh], spelled ibna.
Ibnae are self-aware, and can be quite intelligent, yet they cannot talk. In some rare cases, a few have developed limited psychic abilities, but this occurs mostly in galactics and fairies.
Breeds
The Ibnae have adapted over time to many different environments, and have thus split into different breeds. Here is a list of the breeds and mutations available for each breed.
-Aquatic- The aquatic breed is best adapted to marine and freshwater environments. They always have fins, and an aquatic tail. Currently, they only have two outlines, and two tail positions, but more may come in the future. As far as other mutations, they can have manes, tusks, or horns.
-Arctic- The arctic breed is best adapted to very cold and snowy environments. They can have fins or paws, and can have no tail or an aquatic tail. They also always wear a scarf, making them easy to identify. As far as other mutations, they can have manes, tusks, or horns.
-Avian- The avian breed is best adapted to the skies. They always have claws, and can have no tail or an avian tail. They also always have avian wings, making them easy to identify. As far as other mutations, they can have manes or horns.
-Demonic- The demonic breed is best adapted to mountain or cave environments. They always have claws and demonic wings, and can have no tail, a demonic tail, or a rat tail. As far as other mutations, they can have manes, fangs, scales, spikes, or horns.
-Domestic- The domestic breed is best adapted to a home environment. They always have paws, and can have no tail or a dog-like tail. Domestics cannot have any other mutations.
-Fairy- The fairy breed is best adapted to living in the clouds. They always have paws and fairy wings, and can have no tail, a fairy tail, or a horse tail. As far as other mutations, they can also have manes.
-Galactic- The galactic breed is best adapted to living in space. They always have paws, antenni, and 1-4 galactic tails. As far as other mutations, they can also have manes.
-Prehistoric- The prehistoric breed is best adapted to living in tropical environments. They always have claws, ear holes, and a dino tail. As far as other mutations, they can also have manes, horns, fangs, spikes, or demonic wings.
-Seasonal- The seasonal breed is adapted to living just about anywhere. They can have basically any wings, feet, ears, tails, or any other mutations. These are random ones made for special occasions, such as a snowman one, a Valentine's Day one with special wings, etc.
-Terrestrial- The terrestrial breed is best adapted to living in meadows, prairies, or deserts. They always have paws, and can have no tail, a deer tail, a horse tail, or a rat tail. As far as other mutations, they can also have manes or horns.
-Vegetary- The vegetary breed is best adapted to living in the forest. They always have paws and 3-7 vegetary tails. As far as other mutations, they can also have manes or vegetary wings.
-Mix Breed- Mix Breeds are a combination of two breeds of Ibnae, usually resulting from a breeding. These take on the characteristics, mutations, and living environments of the two breeds that make them up. Mix breeds can only contain two breeds, and must follow the normal characteristics of those two breeds.
Breeding
Ibnae do not take specific mates, however, females can become jealous if too many different females breed with the same male. Although Ibnae are considered mammals, they do lay eggs, usually in clutches ranging from 2-7 eggs. It is very rare for them to have either 2 or 7, most have 4-5.
Breedings are also not based on breeds. For example, let's say you want to breed a galactic with a fairy. There are three possible breeds that the offspring can be - galactic, fairy, or mix breed (galactic/fairy). Mix Breeds can never contain more than 2 breeds, so if you breed your new 'galactic/fairy' with, say, an 'arctic/terrestrial', it could be either of the parents' breeds, or a combo such as 'arctic/galactic,' 'galactic/terrestrial' (odd...), 'arctic/fairy,' fairy/terrestrial,' etc. but you could not get 'arctic/terrestrial/galactic,' etc. In this example, with two mix breeds, it is possible but rare for an offspring to be a pure breed, like 'fairy' or 'galactic.'
