~ HOLLYWOOD ~

While the boys were on vacation (Summer 2001),
Caity and I took another short trip to California.
This time - Hollywood and Universal Studios.
(And a visit to the beach in Santa Monica!)




Caity - dreaming of being a big Hollywood star!
Actually, this is a bit of Hollywood magic -
a picture taking spot in Universal Studios.
(Do you really think I would let her get out of
the car on the California freeway?!)

	Well, you can't tell, but Caity is with Mickey Mouse's Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We realized there weren't too many "Stars" we really, really liked - none we wanted a picture with! We did get one of Caity at John Travolta's - but it ended up being a much better picture of my finger than of Caity!
I'm with Glenn Miller's star. The stars themselves look pretty cool - pink granite on a black granite walkway. But we were a little disappointed in Hollywood - it's a pretty "seedy" looking place. (Poor LUCY - her star is in front of a clothing store for strippers!)

Here's one of our favorite parts of the trip!
A couple days before we left I blew out a tire on our beloved Sophie.
Would you believe $1900 in damages from a bad tire?!
Well, we lucked out and got to drive this 2001 Dodge Neon,
who we affectionately named "Newman"
(WE MISS YOU, NEWMAN!!)

We had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal. Caity needed to get some drum sticks!
