LINKS to other Elvish linguistic sites First I must emphasize that this site is not meant to be a thorough lexicon, grammar survery or dictionary of Sindarin and Quenya. My interest in the Elvish tongues has originated mostly from the fact that I am a student of the ancient Greek and Latin languages. I have found out many interesting similarities between Greek, Latin and especially Sindarin, but I have not created this site as the work of a sholar. This is the work of a fan and should be considered as such. For the visitor who wishes to find out more depth and detail of Sindarin and Quenya grammar, however, I have selected some excellent websites that provide dictionaries and grammar surverys of either or both tongues: - The Elvish Linguistic Fellowship This wonderful community of people who endeavour to master the Elvish tongues provides an amazing website where you can find all resources and links you need when you strive for knowledge of either Quenya or Sindarin! * * * * * - Ardalambion This is a fantastic website that covers nearly every grammatical aspect of the Tongues of Arda. You will find surveys, analyses, background information and even lesson material for both Sindarin and Quenya! A must visit! * * * * * - Tel Mithrim Language Resources At these pages of the Grey Company Elven site, you can find complete dictionaries of the Elven tongues, as well as Tengar fronts to download. Very professional! * * * * * - Tyalie Tyelellieva This translates, more or less, as the games of the Elves who have come to perfect their music and poetry. This site and related projects are intended to encourage ans assist people in learning to speak, read and write the Elvish languages. * * * * - University of Oregon At this site you can find many articles and resources about the Elvish languages of Tolkien as studied and taught at the University of Oregon. Provides many good links and front downloads, as well. * * * * - Elvish Dialog List A very clear site with grammar explanation of the Elvish dialog appearing in Peter Jackson s movie trilogy. * * * |
