I stayed on at MUS for 6th Form, starting off in Mr. Steiners' class (who was the head of geography), then for Upper Sixth we went into Mrs. K. Brown's class (R.E. teacher). Those were the days!!! I continued the flirting, which was more often than not in the direction of James Taylor. He was just as bad, though! There was never anything but friendship between us, but James, if you're reading this, I miss you... :o(
I did Art, English (literature), Maths, and Further Maths 'A' Level's. I spent most of my breaks and lunch-times down the Art-room, and was particularly noted for my pride and joy, my Crucifixion painting. people always asked me why it was blue. I got a bit fed up of always having to explain that I was doing Christian symbolism in Art and that blue symbolizes heaven! Anyway, we had great fun down the Art Department :)
We had Mr. Waterman and Mrs R. Brown for English. As James did English aswell, I think you may be able to appreciate how much fun the lessons were!! I particularly remember the creative writing lesson... :)
Further Maths was always an interesting lesson. It started off as Andrew Bond, Lawrence Lim and myself, but then Andrew dropped it. I'd always been competing with them in Maths since the early days of MUS. When it was just me and Lawrence, though, the pressure was really on, and I have to admit that Lawrence's brain was more Mathematical than mine could ever be!
One of the best things that Further Maths brought with it, was Lawrence, myself, and this other top Mathematician called Adrian Gurnell , all got to go to Belstead House in Ipswich for a Maths Conference. I can't say I learned much, but I had great fun hanging around with Tom Swift, Roy Blowers, Andrew Grief, and Tracey Marshall (all from near Lowestoft) amongst others in the process. I particularly enjoyed playing croquet with them, and drinking water from vases at dinner!!
Can't think of any other memories I have from the 6th Form. Doesn't mean it wasn't good fun, though!!
