Minitaurs are a creation of Amethyst and are found at Minitaur Meadows. Making your way down from a mountain pass, you pause to peer through a fringe of black cypress trees lining the ridge. Beyond the trees falls a series of steep, rocky slopes interspered with gold-green scrub, leveling out below to a vast sward. To your west, a shallow bay meets the slopes, white foam curling against the rocks. Curious, you begin to trace a path downwards, dust rising around you in the hot, dry air. As you double back across a particularly steep slope, a cave half-hidden among tumbled boulders catches your eye, and you eagerly hurry to investigate. The mouth of the cave is actually much more sizable than it appeared at first glance, perhaps twice your height and hardly less wide. Leaning over a boulder, you peer inside, only to let out a yelp and start back, heart beating wildly, as a clatter of hooves and an eerie metallic clank and ring issues from within. A moment later, a startling vision appears at the cave's mouth - an equine figure shrouded almost entirely in white, only red legs and a pair of startlingly green eyes visible. From one hind fetlock drags a ball-and-chain - the source of the strange metallic sound, you realize a moment later, as the mischievous minitaur abruptly turns and disappears back into the cave, flicking his chestnut tail behind him and making a gesture beneath the shroud that you think might be a mocking wave.
