The Showdown (as its named for now) gives you guys a chance to vote for your favorite songs in a one-on-one deathmatch. The winner survives to take on the next challenger, the loser... can sulk. You can vote once per day, so do your best to make your song win. Tell your friends to vote, does your grandma have internet? After all, if your song wins 5 times in a row it gets to join the prestigous Order of the Fenix (sorry for the Harry Potter rip, but damn that name is clever.) Now who doesn't want to be a member of a honorable society like that? So vote!
The Contestants
For the first week of showdown I've picked two of my favorite songs to duke it out. I love them both but there can only be one winner. Click on the song names to check out the artists Launch profile and to take a listen to the song.
THE 1-WEEK CHAMPION: NIRVANA - SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT - The song that brought grunge to the mainstream, and changed rock and roll forever. Will it win? Lets hope.
THE CHALLENGER: K-OS - MAN I USED TO BE - A little something for all you hip-hoppers out there. A hit song from Canada's best hip-hopper. Little bit of Michael Jackson feeling, a little bit Tupac. Not really my thing, but follow you're heart.
