The long-anticipated sequel to Cornelia Funke's best-seller Inkheart, Inkspell lives up to it's ancestry. I found this novel to be much "darker", persay, than Inkheart.
In the book Meggie, Mo, Dustfinger, Farid, and Resa are transported into the mystical Inkworld, the tragic land described in Fenoglio's Inkheart. Here evil rules, saddness abounds, and death lies around every corner. Nothing seems to go well for the heros in Inkspell, and every plot to set the Inkworld right goes horribly wrong. Fenoglio is convinced that all of the outside influence from our own world is disrupting the story, but Meggie and Mo think differently...
Tragically beautiful and beautifully tragic, Inkspell is a must-read full of adventure, romance, horror, and pain. Not for the faint of heart, Inkspell will leave you spinning at every twist of fate that falls on the characters.
