Milly was 23 and had a six year old girl whose last name was Stives.

His son William joined the GAR and served in the infantry from Indiana during the Civil War. He was released from the service and began to work for the railroad as a fireman. When the Lincoln funeral train traveled from Washington to Chicago it went through Peru Indiana. William was on the platform when it came in. The engineer drafted him to be the fireman on the train to Chicago. Wm. suffered an injury while in the army and received a small pension for the rest of his life. His wife, Julia recieved it after he died until she passed away.
William married Julia Foley in Peru, Indiana He was transferred to Lafayette and continued to work for the railroad as an engineer.
They had six sons and three daughters. Edwin, William, John, Charles, Ellen,Katie, Josephine, Robert and Stephen.
Katie and Josephine died in childhood. John and William did not marry. Edwin had five children, Mary Ellen, Thomas, Julia, Edwin and Charles. Edwin married Mary Ellen Clark from Decatur, Illinois and they settled in Texas. Edwin survives.
Charles married Katherine Spears, and moved to Indianapolis. They had three, children, William Spears, Veronica, and Charles Vincent. All of the children have passed away.
Robert married May and they had five children, Margaret, Catherine, Mildred, Robert and James. Mildred survives.
Stephen married Regina Bradley. They had four children, Stephen, Gregory, Frances, and William. Only Frances survives.
Ellen and her husband Morris Wolfe with six children were drowned at Angleton Texas in 1909 by a tidal wave.
