Graphing
Another method to solving linear equations is by graphing. To find a solution by graphing, the point of intersection of the lines must be found.

First rewrite your equation into slope-intercept
form (y = mx + b) in order to easily identify the slope
(m) and y-intercept (b). (Equations A and B have been rearranged into slope-intercept form.) |

line (as shown to the right) using the y-intercept and
