Solving Systems of Linear Equations by

Graphing!

Just Follow The Directions Below in Green and the Example in Brown.

Step1: Write down the two given equations.

Equation 1: 2x + y = 10

Equation 2: -3x + y = 9

Step 2: Rewrite each equation in slope-intercept form by subtracting the x to get y by itself. If y is multiplied by a number, then divide by that number, thus getting y by itself on its own side of the equation.

Equation 1: y = -2x + 10

Equation 2: y = 3x + 9

Step 3: Graph the two equations using the slope-intercept method.
