Graphing

Equations: 4x - y = 20

-3x - 2y = -12

1. 4x - y =20

2. -3x - 2y =-12

The first step in solving this is to solve each equation for y or find the x and y intercepts.
1. y int. = (0,-20, x int. = (5,0)

2. y int. = (0,6), x int. = (4,0)

or

1. y = 4x - 20

2. y = -3/2x +6

After that you would then graph both of the equations on your calculator by going to the "y =" button and typing in your equations. Then press graph. Then go to "2nd" "trace" "5" then enter three times. This will give you the intersection for your line.
