How to Solve Linear Systems by Graphing: |
|
| Step #1: The
first thing you do is list the 2 equations |
Equation
1: x+y=3 Equation 2: 2x-3y=1 |
| Step
#2: Then you put the equations in "y equals" form which is mathmatically known as Slope-Intercept form. This will make the equations easier to graph. |
Equation 1: x+y=3 *subtract x from both sides now the equation is y=3-x Equation 2: 2x-3y=1 *subtract 2x from both sides you now have -3y=1-2x *then divide by -3 on both sides you now have y=-(1/3)-(2/3)x |
| Step #3:
Then you just have to graph the 2 equations. |
|
*THE SOLUTION IS (8,-5) |
