1.) Start by writing your problem out. 24 - ( 9+7) = 2.) Begin by doing what is inside the parentheses. 24 - ( 16 ) = 3.) Next, check and see if there are any exponents. There isn't in this case. 24 - 16 = 4.) Next you check and see if there is anything to divide or multiply. In this case, there isn't. 24 - 16 = 5.) Last, you check and see if there is anything to add or subtract. 24 - 16 = 8 6.) Eight is your answer. |

| 1.) Start by writing
down your problem.
P = 2l + 2w 2.) First subtract 2l from each side to get w by itself. P - 2l = 2w 3.) Now, divide each side by 2 to cancel out the 2 in 2w. P - 2l = w 2 4.) Now you have your answer!!!!! |

| Slope - Intercept:
1.) First write out the slope-intercept formula. y = mx + b; where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept 2.) Now, write out your problem. m = 5 b = -3 3.) Now, substitute the m and the b into the equation. y = 5x - 3 4.) You have your first answer!!!!!! Point Slope: 1.) First write out the point-slope formula. y - y1 = m ( x - x1 ); y1 stands for the y coordinate and x1 stands for the x coordinate, m stands for the slope. 2.) To choose a point to use, you can always use the y-intercept coordinate. ( 0, -3 ) 3.) Now substitute in the coordinates and the slope. y - (-3) = 5 ( x - 0 ) 4.) Now you should distribute the slope. y + 3 = 5x 5.) You have your answer for point - slope. Standard Form: 1.) You begin by writing out the standard form formula. ax + by = c 2.) Now rewrite the equation in slope-intercept form. y = 5x - 3 3.) Then bring the x over to the y side. y - 5x = -3 4.) Switch the x and y around, changing their signs. 5x - y = -3 5.) Since you changed the signs on one side, you need to change the sign on the other side. 5x - y = 3 6.) You are now done writing the equation for a line in 3 different forms!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
