We can't give her the pred and the Baytril and the Doxycycline altogether, it makes her vomit, and then she won't eat. So, this is the best option. I think you for all the suggestions..The first thing I did was go out and buy some tartar treats for the brood.. no more cat breath..:> On a side note..how long does it take kittens to wean from their momma? I've read that its best to wait until they are weaned before getting her altered..but I am afraid that she'll go into heat..(I don't think she will but there is always a chance I suppose) they kittens were three months old on the 2nd of sept. and they still suckle from her..are they just spoiled kittens? --Fuguee ---------------------------------------- From: "Jean Wells" To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Subject: Re: 'Gnarly' breath Date sent: Tue, 08 Sep 1998 10:02:31 PDT Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net I've got some 2 year olds who still try to nurse! And Sunny lets them! I had to have Sunny spayed when the kittens were only 8 weeks because she did go into heat. But that hasn't slowed down the 'need to nurse' for Chloe or Penny. (Check my Web page, I've even got a photo to prove it!) jean ---------------------------------------- From: "George & Nancy" To: "Felv" Subject: Fw: How Rissa-Tai is doing Date sent: Tue, 8 Sep 1998 17:36:09 -0400 Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Pam, My thoughts are with you and Rissa-Tai! I echo Angela's sentiments. Your website helped me maintain my sanity after finding out that my new kitten was FELV+ and had most likely infected my other two! You deserve many accolades for your hard work. kit ---------------------------------------- From: GinaTex@aol.com Date sent: Tue, 8 Sep 1998 21:38:39 EDT To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Subject: Re: Re: 'Gnarly' breath Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Fugee, We let our kittens nurse until they where 5 months old (if they wanted to) , that is when their mother went back into heat again. She was fixed soon after, and the female kitten went into heat early around the same time. Although they where completely weaned at 3 months, only one of the kittens really nursed, she is the same one that tryed to nurse off of all my male cats when she moved in with us. Hope that helps Gina ---------------------------------------- END
