Especially one that is willing to go the distance this unfortunate journey takes us on. My Rissa-Tai is doing very well on the Immunoregulin and Interferon treatments, as are many of the other cats whose owners are on this list. You don't have to give up if you don't want to, there are things you can do. Have you tried Pet-tinic? It's a liquid vitamin supplement that has extra iron that is great for anemic cats. You may also want to add DMG (stimulates T-cell production) and Prozyme (an enzyme that helps with food digestion) to your cat's diet. Also, please contact Linda P. (CatzNStuff@AOL.com) for info on Ambrotose, a nutritional supplement that everyone who has used on their cats is having good results with. Please don't accept your passive vet's response, there are many good vets out there willing and ready to help that will make the effort to extend your kitty's life. You might want to go back to the Angelfire site and see if there is a vet in your area listed that has worked with a list cat at some point in time. You may also want to check out the FAQ sheet, there's lots of good info on diet and nutrition that is answered there. Keep us posted as to what you decide. Send reply to: WORKPARK@aol.com Hi all, Has anyone else been experiencing the same thing as I? I only received 5 posts today, and when I responded to them, the response did not go back to the list in general but directly to the author of the post. Is this an AOL prblem, or has something changed on the list? Send reply to: Angela Holderby Dear Pam: Nope. Same thing here and I am not on AOL. That reply thing really threw me. I don't know what the problem is, but I am having to change the reply address every time I post and I am sure that is why there are so few messages coming across. Send reply to: Kat Hi All, I sent a query to Jim, to see if there is a change in procedures we need to know about. But I've also noticed (at least on my mail system) when I hit the reply button - it asks me if I want to reply to all participants. A 'yes' will provide a 'cc' to the list address, thus sending the reply to the private poster as well as the list. But since I don't know what the rest of the world uses... I hope Jim responds soon. I am so sorry to hear about Mama Kat. For Ashley Rose, you might try a product called Royal Jelly w/ Ginseng--6 drops, 3X a day. (Buy it at a good health food store.) It stimulates appetite and increases energy. (This info from A. Schoen, _Love, Miracles, and Animal Healing_.) You might stir the drops into a small amount of chicken or turkey baby food (make sure the BF has NO ONION Powder in this causes anemia). Then suck it all up in a feeding syringe and administer. Your vet should have some. This would also work w/ AD Food. I'll be sending healing vibes to Ashley. List, I have been having the same mail problem, and I'm not on AOL either. He is very aggitated and weak. He is just laying around sleeping. I'll be surprised if he makes it through the weekend. All I can do now is try to keep him comfortable. If he is suffering or in pain, then we'll take that long, last journey to the vet. My heart is breaking. And I am so very sorry for your suffering. I found some comfort in knowing that as I stroked Lefty's head and talked to him and offered him all my love, he knew how I felt about him. He could have been suffering on a nasty street being tormented by other animals and careless people...but he was living his last days/hours on a soft clean towel in his favorite spot under my piano bench surrounded by me and my children and Poncho who all loved him more than anything. Please know that Tut is as comfortable as possible at this time...you are in my thoughts and prayers. Wilson" Hey all, After the recent "battles" that were waged ON-list, it seemed prudent to change the "reply-to" header function so that it reflected the original poster's email address instead of the list's. I apologize for this inconvenience, but, as long as people are aware of it and know how to change it, I think we'll be alright. Take care, and best wishes to all.
