Just be sure to put it in the hollow of the back of the neck where he can't lick it off - it's in an alcohol base and most cats hate the taste of it. They start foaming at the mouth and try to make you think you've poisoned them (LOL). Although strangely enough, it isn't our feline+ one Grey. The one we lost was named Screamer. She was 15 years old. I honestly do not hope she contracted felleuk from grey, although I don't think she did. She was up on her shots, and she never had any interaction with him. Screamer was an outside kitty, even in the 115+F heat we've been having she still remained outside in the sun. We went away for four days, and the person who was feeding our animals commented that she didn't eat much when we were gone. I found her out by the pool yesturday. The first time I ever found a passed on cat. She was my fiance's mother's favorite cat. But she was 15 years old, and a very well looked after cat. I take comfort in the knowledge that she's playing on the lap of the Mother..
