Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Dear Randall, Hi! My name is Colleen and I am new on this list. My kitty , Pushy, was just diagnosed with feline L. about 3 weeks ago. I've been doing research on the comp. to find ways to treat him. I have read good things about Ambrotose, but do not know where to find it. I'm hoping you could point me in the right direction. Thank you. Do quote the part you are replying to - or if your mail program makes it difficult to quote only a portion of the original, summarize the original point. I see things like: "Oh yes - I do that all the time, and it's no *problem*!" Since I'd have a mail queue of some 50 thousand (it's at 740 right now, and only 90 of them are new!) items by now if I didn't delete as I went along, there's no way I can go back and figure out *what* is being talked about! 8-) Diana ---------------------------------------- From: viper102@uswest.net Date sent: Tue, 28 Jul 1998 00:54:58 -0700 To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Subject: Ringo Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net I would just like to say that Ringo is doing better. We took him to the vet today for a red cell count and he is up to 12% now, from his last check which was 9%. When he gets to 24% he will be full of energy again. But now he started jumping up on things again. He scratches the hell out of the end of the couch. Crawls into any box we leave lying around. He is almost his old self again. He has another vet visit scheduled in 3 weeks. I hope his cell count continues to rise. He also is learning how to type on my keyboard. I have made my computer beep everytime you push a key. He just sits there and pushes the keys with his paw. He can't write anything readable but that's ok. I have no idea why the beep amuses him but it is funny as heck to watch him. If you are interested in what got her up to the amount of 47% as of 2 1/2 weeks ago, as well as her wonderful weight gain, just let me know, and I'd be happy to post it for all again. Bob is now about 15 weeks old. She has not been retested again yet. My vet wanted to wait until she gets her last distemper shot to retest just to be sure her body had enough time to fight it off if it is going to. When I brought bob home just over a month ago she weighed just about 1.2 pounds ( my little baby) she now weighs 4.1 pounds or at least she did two weeks ago when I took her to the vet. I am also quite suprised she appears so healthy. My vet told me he has never seen a cat as healthy as her that has tested positive before. I am hoping all goes well when she is retested but Im trying not to get my hopes up to much. I guess I just have to exept that I brought home the devils cat and learn to live with it.as I wright this bob is sitting under the keyboard which is on my lap sticking her paws up on the keys trying to get my fingers . I am giving her ambrotose so its very possible this is whats keeping her so healthy. Who knows Im just glad shes staying healthy so far( knock on wood)111 ( those one"s are bobs contribution to this note, of course she has to get her two cents in LOL) Well Im off to save my newspaper from the wrath of bob. So hope to talk to every one soon. later, Sarah and my CRAAAAAAZY cat Bob....ouch ---------------------------------------- From: katseven@pcsia.com Date sent: Tue, 28 Jul 1998 06:42:22 -0600 Subject: Re: why I am member of list To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Welcome, Robert. Jake seems to have a few fleas on him--really only 1 or 2, but he's itching and scratching all the time. Do you think it would be alright to use Frontline Top Spot on him? I understand it's not a chemical so I'm thinking it would be alright for him. Please do not suggestion garlic or some other natural product. He's having enough things stuffed down his mouth the way it is. What d'ya think? I'm very sorry about Scruffy. When Ninja's seizures got really bad (before I even knew about the leukemia), I was ready to put her to sleep. I am so glad that I didn't. It took her a while to get stable on her meds, but she's doing great now. Keep Tina, Gina and Max healthy w/good nutrition and healthcare and lots of love. That's sometimes all we can do for our babies. To be sure, check with your vet, but son says it worked miracles at his house. Not a flea to be seen. barb ---------------------------------------- To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Date sent: Tue, 28 Jul 1998 12:27:23 -0400 Subject: Re: Okay - keep some vibes this direction... It was her time and unlike most of us humans, animals don't always fight it, esp when they are older and so, their passing is much easier for them. She is in a better place where she is young and frisky again. barb ---------------------------------------- END
