It is a small rectangle. It has a control dot on it. They do something to the blood that's drawn, then put it in the rectangle. If one blue dot shows up in the right place, it's positive for FeLV, if another blue dot shows up, it's positive for FIV. I think the FeLV one is to the left, looking at it holding it and the FIV is the one to the right. barb ---------------------------------------- From: EchoSynch@aol.com Date sent: Sat, 25 Jul 1998 18:44:29 EDT To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Subject: Re: SPEED Test for FeLV and FIV Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Debby, Tails is meowing yes. It's fairly new, so they will have some kinks to work out, I'm sure. barb ---------------------------------------- Date sent: Sat, 25 Jul 1998 22:23:31 +0100 From: "Sonja Lnders" To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Subject: Re: SPEED Test for FeLV and FIV Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Barb, I meant to ask, is this the very same test,( = is there only one Elisa test), does one know if the one used in the states is also for FeLV AND FIV, and called SPEED? SO, in the meantime, I've created a form with a general letter using JAVAscript for those that have JAVA-capable browsers. You can find the letter at: http://www.angelfire.com/il/felv/letter.html Please, if you haven't sent a letter yet, do so as soon as possible. For anyone that wants to, please redistribute this letter to as many people, lists, newsgroups, etc. as you feel necessary. For those that can't access this form, you can copy the letter below and send it to: giuliani@www.ci.nyc.ny.us: To: The Honorable Mayor, Rudolf Giuliani Dear Mayor Giuliani, I am writing this letter to you in the hopes that you will reconsider your stance on not allowing the rescue of the pets in the Conde Nast building. Your decision is causing undo stress upon the pet owners and inhumane conditions for the pets. Offers have been made to save those pets despite the risks, yet you choose to allow the suffering instead of allowing the rescue- why? You should be aware that this callous decision will not reflect well on your reputation. Since this story has now gained nation-wide attention, you are increasingly losing favor with every American that values the lives of their precious pets. Also, since you've been given alternative options to settle this matter and rejected them without cause, those pet owners will be well within their rights to sue the city of New York for their losses. These factors are burdens that you and your city can ill-afford. Please reconsider your decision carefully- many lives depend upon it. Sincerely; Don't forget to put your name at the end of it. Take care, and best wishes to all. In loving memory of Vyvyan: March 20, 1988 - August 15, 1997 James G. I certainly hope Jackson does not have a tumor. Many times vets can be wrong (esp. when there are no tests). Several months ago my vet thought Jake's stomach felt like it was swelled to her--scared me to death when she mentioned FIP. It turned out his stomach/chest was NOT swelled at all due to liquid. I keep some on hand called "lil noses", it's for babies. It helps them sneeze that stuff out all over you. barb ---------------------------------------- From: "Equinox Corp."
