Thursday July 23, 1998 Part 2 20 Messages ======================================== From: GinaTex@aol.com Date sent: Thu, 23 Jul 1998 16:17:40 EDT To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Subject: Re: Re: Super Nutrition For Animals Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Randall Do you know where Nupro could be found? Is it at a pet store or health food store? Our babies eat a mixture of dry Iams and Nutros Natural food, which I sometimes think is what helped Rubin stay alive so long with FeLv and helped our Sophia as well. Smotimes we joke that Rubin got his radiation treatments from the microwave, in our other house he used to sit in front of the microwave every time it went on. Who knows? :-) Gina ---------------------------------------- From: viper102@uswest.net Date sent: Thu, 23 Jul 1998 12:56:55 -0700 To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Subject: Ringo Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Thanks for all the advice. Ringo is really looking better be the day. He is running around chasing my sister now. I scanned a picture of him before he got sick and one of him as a baby when he was getting a bath, I will try to attach then to this message. ---------------------------------------- Date sent: Thu, 23 Jul 1998 17:17:24 -0400 To: felvtalk@MailingList.net From: three ring circuits Subject: Re: RE: Hershey's retest update - NOT good news.... As a nurse, that is what scares me to death about it. Shades of Nazi Germany right here. I know it's off topic, but couldn't let that pass. barb ---------------------------------------- Date sent: Thu, 23 Jul 1998 17:32:59 -0400 To: felvtalk@MailingList.net From: three ring circuits Subject: Re: Re: RE: Hershey's retest update - NOT good news.... The doctors gave him an overdose of morphine to speed up his death. My Grandmother questioned why one day he was chipper talinking laughing etc then the next Coma. They told her why and she demanded he be taken off the morphine. He lived another 3 months. You shouldn't force yourself to be a happy camper when that's not the way you feel, but give yourself credit for being a great support to Hershey. You don't know what the following week will bring, but whatever that is, you and Hershey will deal with it together with dignity and love and caring. Take care, and we are all hoping your next talk with the vet will bring good news. Gabby and los gatos fregados ---------------------------------------- From: "Equinox Corp." "Cats talking" No, no, no. On second thought, maybe ithat wouldn't be so bad so long as they could be taught how to keep secrets. On this subject please see "Collected Stories" by Saki/pen name, ( H.H. Monroe, his real name). You'll be very amused. Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Gina, Don't give up. Now is the time to throw down the gauntlet! Get those vitamins and immune system boosters like ambrotose and Q10. Hershey is fighting, you must help him do that. His rising titer does not necessary mean he is losing, it may mean he is winning! You must hang in there. barb ---------------------------------------- From: Newtanator@aol.com Date sent: Thu, 23 Jul 1998 21:20:19 EDT To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Subject: Re: FeLV Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Viper? (you didn't sign it, so I used that) Epogen replaces a hormone that is produced in the kidneys. It is the most common reason of anemia in cats (or anyone) in kidney failure. It will only be effective if this hormone is low. The Un. of Penn. Small animal lab does the required test. It costs $75 but is well worth the expense since Epogen is fairly expensive and must be given for at least 6 wks to see some effect from it. If that hormone is at normal levels, the the drug will do no good. If you want more information on it, let me know. barb ---------------------------------------- END
