Although he is not with you physically, he will always be with you in spirit. He is no longer in pain, and I'm sure he's running with the "pack" chasing butterflies and remembering the love he received while he was able to be with you. You will be together in spirit until the time you meet again at the Bridge. You may wish to check out the candle ceremony at the petloss site that was mentioned. It is a world-wide ceremony, and shared by many from all over who have experienced the loss of a beloved pet. I believe, if I remember correctly from when I looked at the site in February, that it is also a time for hope and good wishes for our furbabies that are ill. Barb+Ninja -------------------------------------- From: "Moermond, Barbara" To: "'felvtalk@mailinglist.net'" Subject: Ninja news Date sent: Tue, 19 May 1998 10:43:13 -0500 Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Hi all! I was home yesterday taking care of Ninja, so I just caught up with my email. My baby just tested positive a few weeks ago and we also have a working diagnosis of a meningioma. Ninja has been on a Prednisone taper and this past weekend started the every other day and was OK Saturday, but Sunday she was breathing rapidly and couldn't get comfortable. She had a seizure Sunday night and started having seizures at about 5 a.m. Monday (she ended up having 5 seizures yesterday). It's obvious that she needs to be on a maintenance dose of pred. She seemed OK this morning and I left the AC on for her as it's supposed to be in the upper 80's again and HUMID. I stayed home for her yesterday, but I am sick too. It's not easy taking care of a furbaby when you're sick as well. But she pulled through and I'm giving her a bit higher dose of the pred for a few days until she gets her blood levels back up and then I'll go back down to the dose she was on last week. She was SO happy last week; it was her 1st week on Interferon and she did *great* all week. I just have to keep her on the pred so she doesn't have to go through these awful seizures. Barb+Ninja Note: She has taken to sleeping in her kitty carrier!! It's very cute. -------------------------------------- From: "Equinox Corp." It's probably wise to raise the dosage until she's stable although you may want to check with the vet--prednisone can work wonders, but it also can be dangerous. Now you take your own advice and take care of yourself. I know it's difficult when you're not feeling well and then you have to take care of your furbaby. I was away for the weekend & had 100's of postings & quickly scanned thru to read of his saga. I was so hoping for a happy ending. You did so much for him giving him the best chance to pull thru. I am so sorry it ended this way. Dana (Sookey, Charlie Cat & Spitzie) -------------------------------------- From: "Steve Lackow" To: "FeLV Talk" Cc: "LawBet" , "James G. Wilson" Subject: Computer Price: So Close Date: Tue, 19 May 1998 13:13:07 -0700 Reply-to: felvtalk@MailingList.net First, I'm so sorry for Nancy and Panny. I could feel we were losing him, like a little light going out. Nancy is as heroic as any of us, and take heart all. There is so much to be gained from the experience of caring... anyway... Prices are indeed down another 5% or so this week, and here's where we are. A super system from ABS electronics -- who PC Magazine rated as having better systems, better support and a better warranty than Gateway or Dell -- is now at around $1,465 including shipping. This includes a 19" Optiquest monitor, and a 200MMX based system with 32MB EDO RAM, a 3.2 GB HD drive, 1.44 FDD, 56K modem, 24X CD, ATI 2MB video, wavetable sound/speakers/mike kb/mouse, W95, Lotus Smart Suite and Grolier's Encyclopedia. BTW Jim, you can have a tower or a desktop config as you like. So, we're only $80 short by Larry's last update. We should be spot-on by June, as long as the supply of chips holds out -- but we could always go with the AMD (which is actually what I recommend) instead of Intel CPU, and/or see who can add in another $5 or $10 to what they have already so generously provided. Then, Jim will have a complete system that is all his -- thanks to all of you. -- Steve -------------------------------------- Date sent: Tue, 19 May 1998 19:10:02 -0400 From: Andrew Sherrod To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Subject: Re: [Panther] Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Nancy, I'm so sorry.....my Salomon, Bubbles, and George will watch over him....... -------------------------------------- Date sent: Tue, 19 May 1998 22:43:10 -0500 To: felvtalk@MailingList.net From: "Ann M.
