I just wanted to let you all know that I have pulled Kettainya off all conventional medicine, i.e. neupogen, interferon, etc., because she became incredibly ill. She could not stand up without falling over. I think it just was too much for her tiny body and I have been following the great holistic suggestions provided by all the caring people on this listserve. Kettainya turned around slightly Friday morning. She is able to walk and stand, even jump a little. She does not seem to be in any pain, just tired. She lets me know when she wants to take a walk on her leash (great cat, no?) & when she wants to go back in. I am not fooling myself into believing that she will recover, but it is good to see her a little more normal. My vet looked her over this morning and found an ulcer on her tongue. I've noticed that she has slowed down her drinking & attempts at food. I guess this is why. Does anyone have a suggestion for this? I have been giving her liquids by dropper and my boyfriend said anti-biotics can cause ulcers, but she is off those now. Oh, I wasn't sure if anyone had been told this before, but my vet said that if you are feeding a cat baby food to stay away from any that contains onion power/salt.
