I think you'll really get a lot of good info from this group, as there are some very knowledgeable people on the mailing list. Aleta - I lived in the DC area (Alexandria, VA) from 9/92 - 3/96, and got both my cats there: Lai-Tai, 5 yrs. old, from Lend-A-Paw (FeLV-), and Rissa-Tai, 2 1/2 yrs. old, from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (FeLV+). Both are Siamese crosses. We just discovered that Rissa-Tai was positive from a test done Jan. 30. Lai-Tai is still testing negative, even on the IFA test. We're pretty sure Rissa-Tai probably was born with FeLV, because she has not been in any contact with other cats except vet's waiting rooms since we adopted her from the shelter when she was between 6 and 10 weeks old. I hope there isn't an epidemic of FeLV in the DC area. Keep us posted. I will check with my vet this week and let you know. Off hand I'd say she shouldn't have a problem. Eats better and moves around more. That stuff is based on the aloe plant as well. Quite an impressive little plant that. He also gets vit B12, C. and some other stuff as well.
