Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Your right, you know. I have 16 cats in this house and they all so different. Each one such an individual. I wouldn't part with any of them and I'm greatful for each day I have with them. barb -------------------------------------- From: Newtanator Date sent: Fri, 27 Feb 1998 21:49:35 EST To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Subject: Re: Meeko Home!! Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Dana, Great to know Meeko is home. If you have that nearby, I would definetly keep him in the house from now on. Unfortunately, he has no idea that made him sick and he will make a bee line for it again. Yikes! $700, but if add up what I have spent on Merlin, it's prob that, just not all at once! It seems to be the fad in the political world, start a Meeko medical fund! barb -------------------------------------- From: Newtanator Date sent: Fri, 27 Feb 1998 21:59:39 EST To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Subject: Re: (Fwd) Re: Wuzzy: Barb Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Jenn, If I won the lottery, (which would be tough, since I rarely even buy a ticket) I would start a no-kill shelter in a heartbeat, (after paying off my debts). It is wonderful you have a no kill one near you. Our pound is gastly for cats. Horrible. Not a pleasure cruise for dogs either. I guess they do what they can with the money they get but there are things they could do to make it better for them. Most of the time, the cats have no litter box. They stand on wire mesh. It's a cold, (freezing really) dark room with no windows, wet all the time and the stupid idiots that work there have heavy metal music BLASTING out over speakers. It must drive the animals crazy. I got, Lor, who was feral from there. I practically had to rip him out of their hands. He's wild, a terrible cat, they said, don't take him. I knew no one else would! He is a sweetie now. timid really. and Chelsea, who had an URI and danced for a week because of sore feet from the mesh. Zack of course, who was lucky, he a littler box to lay in. I try to stay away from there, if I can. I really can't support any more cats and it breaks my heart to go in there. Maybe we should all gather together, pool our resources and start a no kill shelter! Now that's an idea. later barb -------------------------------------- Date sent: Fri, 27 Feb 1998 20:45:08 -0600 (CST) From: "Nancy A. I know that Fenway could never take Copely's place, but I am glad that you seem close to him. I know that helps me when I lose a companion. It seems to draw me closer to the rest, which I think is a good thing.
