(www.petinsurance.com) Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net I'm sure someone knows about this...it's called veterinary pet insurance? (www.petinsurance.com) any info on this? Do any of you know if it covers caring for a FeLV positive cat? It says it won't cover any pre-existing conditions, that's why i am asking. sorry to bother you all! But money is starting to be a problem, and I would very much like to get this insurance for Catsby for his medications. Thanks for any help you can give on this! I happen to stumble upon the web site but it really doesn't say anything... -------------------------------------- From: DLMLLM Date sent: Wed, 25 Feb 1998 21:16:47 EST To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Subject: Re: Meeko update Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Dana, just found your e-mail first on my list here. I hope Meeko is going to be okay. You know we are pulling for you 100%. My husband gets to hear the news good and bad about everyone's pets. But he will not read it first hand yet. It helps me, but it makes him very sad. Please keep us informed. We are praying for you tonight. Some think it's stupid to spend so much on a cat. Then have it cremated. These are the people I avoid. They do not want to hit my button the wrong way. Of course my husband does to. But we've been married a long time, and husband's are suppose to think that. It's what YOU think of YOU that's important. I think Shakespere said this: "This, above all else, to thine ownself be true". The care you have given your pets personifies my personal feelings about having pets: If you're not going to take care of them properly, you shouldn't have them. You and everybody in this group demonstrate daily your commitment to the love and TLC required by our pets. As an old soldier, I can say this unequivicably, if all humans treated other humans the way the folks of this group treat their pets, there would be no wars, no poverty, no crime. What a lovely thought!!! The no kill shelter is where I got my Butch dog, or I should say horse. They had not many animals at the time. Maybe 20ty dogs and some cats. But we had tried the pound a few times and could not find that special one. If I had my way I'd vote for the no kill ones. You pay a fee to adopt them and they are usually healthy. It would take a huge building to accomadate them. But then you'd still be forced to put some down that were ill and all. This is if you no longer had a regular pound. It's hard to answer. When our treasured pet has gone. Our first thought: "What did I do wrong?" When our treasured pet has gone. "You've done nothing wrong", lovingly says he. "For without you, where would I be?" "Outside, the jungle's cold, violent and dark, With many hazards, it's no lark." "Your love, attention, and tender loving care, Gave me a fine cloak of security to wear." "For many months I lived, or many years; So please for my sake, dry up your tears." "For we shall meet again, you see, In a far better place for you and me." "Then we shall never be apart, Joined together in one loving heart." It's always darkest before the dawn. When our treasured pet has gone. But are they gone, you'll ask bye the bye. No, not gone, just on TDY. For those non-military folks, TDY = Away on T emporary D ut Y. Maybe you all will have a respite. You certainly deserve one. In order for this group to gain support to be added by news administrators, we have to publicize this message to all pertinent cat-related newsgroups and mailing lists. Kathy G. and I will cover the newsgroups and Kathy will post to the Cybercat mailing list, and I'll post to the Feline-L and VETMED mailing lists. If any of you have access to other lists, please forward this message to them with my express permission. We need to get this word out to as many people as possible so that more ISPs will add it to their servers. Thanks. --------------------Newsgroup Info Message----------------------------------- SUBJECT: New Newsgroup for Feline Diseases Hello everyone, I have gone through the process of creating a new newsgroup in the alt.animals.felines hierarchy so that we can discuss feline infectious diseases such as feline leukemia (FeLV), feline immunodeficiency disease (FIV), and feline infectious peritonitis (FIP). However, discussion of all diseases such as feline diabetes, liver and kidney disease, etc. are welcome. Since I just created this new group, folks will have to send messages to their news administrators asking them to add the new group to their site. The name of the new group is: alt.animals.felines.diseases Although it will be slow in the beginning, I'm sure that we can make this an accessible group where folks can get the info they need to help treat these diseases. If you have any questions or comments, please contact me at: phaedrus@ctnet.net. Sincerely; James G. Wilson In loving memory of Vyvyan: March 20, 1988 - August 15, 1997 James G. And people don't bother me much. I have a couple enemies at work. The one digs it good sometimes. She told me once about a subject I won't repeat here and I literally told her she was a nut. And could be arrested for it here. She's the type of person we cat lovers have to keep away from. If we treated everyone as good as our all loving cats someone would haul us off to the nut house. Besides, LR is a volume expander, electrolyes ect. Can't figure out why he would use that in the first place. But more worried about the dose than the solution.
