I wish I could take his poor guy in I think he'd eventually adjust. He doesn't like our cats or children though. It will take someone very patient and he could be a marvelous companion and friend. It is a joy every time one of the cats is adopted. The manager checks out the new owners carefully to see they get a good home. Quite a few of the businesses in the local area help out with kitty litter, food, etc. My vet donates her time and services and gives us a reduced rate on procedures. It's a donation funded socity. Fees are charged for adopting the pets. I only work iwth the cats. They are so loving. Well, most of them anyway. I always make sure to take them some treats. They seem to like that and the brushing and petting. Tonight Kitty is laying on top of the scanner. She likes the heat from the computer. It's quiet there too. Hope she sleeps tonight. Last night she was up and down all night. She wanted to play. Even Chaz got mad at her. Don't know how she got her days and nights turned around. I hope no news is good news with Copley. It is so hard on the parents and hard on all of us. It brings back so much pain and grief. I do agree with you. Each day I have my two is a blessing. I did want to ask. How did your cats accept a new member? I worry about the stress it might cause my two. I contemplated leaving the list as is so very hard to read about all the ones were loosing......it breaks my heart. I have lost many a cat from cardiomyopathy, to CRF, never one to FeLV tho. I have one now that has FIV, which is slightly better I'm told than FeLV or FIP. I feel for all of you and pray that some day soon we find a CURE as Dana said for this dreaded disease. It's so very hard to see them go and feel so helpless, I hope all of you can find comfort in the good memories you have and knowing that you did all that was humanely possible for each and every one of them. I am glad that you were able to be there for him & give him permission to leave for a better place. I t takes a lot of strength & courage. I am hoping for good news re Russian & any other kitties that are actively fighting this awful disease tonight. It is getting harder & harder to share other's pain each day.
