It sounds like he's on his way back to good health. Perhaps the Oxyfresh Dr. Myer suggests might be helpful for Benny's mouth. Thinking of you . . . My little 4 1/2 lb 'Storm' seems to reabsorb it at night because she is always thinner in the am. She seems to get around fine with it. But my 6 lb 'Beast' seems bothered by it. His abdomen region is tender. I feel I might have to have it drained this week. He reall y seems bloated. He is eating and getting around though. I know when a human fills up with fluid, they take a fluid pill. Anything like that available for cats? Alos, it was mentioned that vaccinating a FeLV + cat for the disease might fool the body. Any thoughts about doing the same for asymtomatic FIP cats...giving the vaccinations to fool the body? My two have FeLV along with the FIP. Hoever, 4 years ago I have a cat 8 mon old born with it, that had a blood test. Came back -. Then had his lungs drained and the fluid tested. Came back -. But the vet said the fluid was classic FIP fluid...straw colored. So be warned, even though FIP tests are - does not mean they don't have it. She will probably get better faster at home! Using the playpen is a great idea - you can watch her and she can watch you! If you've done the shots to your son, you should have no problem - it's even easier in animals. The best of luck to you and your baby. This is really wonderful news, and Barb will be delighted to read these messages. It's action stimulates production of rbc's, therapeutic effect: maintains and may elevate rcb counts, de Selena is regaining some strength, and I regaining some composure. Best wishes for Benny's continued improvement. .mg. -------------------------------------- Date sent: Wed, 04 Feb 1998 12:16:53 -0500 To: felvtalk@MailingList.net From: "Michele R. It is expensive and hopefully he won't have to use it too long my vet, Bob Rider said. Bob is a very young veterinarian, but sure knows his stuff. He's very kind and compassionate and so is the entire Animal Hospital. It would have no effect at all in a cat showing signs. Diagnosing an "asymptomatic" cat is almost a contradiction in terms. It is often difficult to definitively diagnose a cat showimg early signs. The fluid in FIP is different than the fluid removed by diuretics. Also, due to cats tendency to have low fluid intakes, diuretics must be given very carefully. M. W. Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net That will do the trick if there is any ability on the cat's part to produce red cells when stimulated. The price has gone down from a few years ago. M. W.
