I am kitten-less now.  Chloe stopped breathing on Sat.  I want to thank
all of you - especially Steve, Barb & Jim - for all the info and support
you've given me thru this.  This mailing list is a great thing!!  I wish
all you and your kittens good health.  and hopefully one day, we'll kick
this disease(s) in the butt!!

I was so sad to hear that your Chloe passed away.  I know there are no
words to take away the pain.  It is always sad to learn of another kitty
being taken away with this disease.  May God bless you for taking such good
care of his creature while here, and may He help you through your time of

Jenn,

I'm so sorry to hear about Chloe.  I know that at a time like this we all
(on this list) know so much of the heartbreak you are going through--yet
it's so hard to give any words of comfort.  Please know that you did
everything you could for Chloe.  You are in our hearts and in our
thoughts.

Jenn, I'm so sorry to hear about Chloe.  I just lost Sasha a week agao and
it still hurts.  I look at her picture everyday and wish she was with me.  A
little advise.  Just go with how you're feeling regardless of what anybody
else thinks and remember The Rainbow Bridge.  That's what I have done and it
does help.  Also take all the support from the group and do know that you
did everything you could do for Chloe.  I read someones response about
getting another kitty at some point to take her place.  I don't think that
works.  No other kitty could take Sasha'a place and I'm sure you feel the
same way.
You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

   I am very sorry to hear about Chloe.  Most of us know what you are going
thru.  There will never be another Chloe, just as there will never be another
Newt for me, but sometime another little one will need you and your paths will

This has been a bad day for cats...a customer sent me this e-mail asking for
help.  If anyone in the Dallas area or surrounding cities can help, please let
me know.

my customer wrote:

<I'm hunting for someone to adopt a Feline Aids (FIV) positive cat. He was a
stray here at the complex. I took him to my vet hoping to neuter, get shots
and place him in a shelter, but the test came up positive.

I've got 4 choices that I know of:

1. Find someone with no cats to adopt him
2. Find someone with other Feline Aids (FIV) positive cat(s)
3. Find a hospice that deals with them
4. Have him put to sleep.

He's not even sick right now. Beat up because he's been the neighborhood
tom, but not ill. My understanding is that he could live 2-3 more years,

He's got black medium length fur with a smoke undercoat. The sweetest
temperment you can imagine - very gentlemanly, outgoing but polite.

Can you suggest any leads in the areas of 1-3 above, or think of an option
