My homeopathic vet told me to use colloidal silver, one drop am and pm until his eye looked healthy. This happened about 10 months ago, and he hasn't had an episode since. The colloid has to have 3 to 5 ppm particle count, and the size of the particles should range from .001 to .004 microns. Also, Scooter's eye had been chemically burned from meds given by a "conventional" vet, and his eye was close to bursting when I took him to the homeopath. You can find reference to Reishi mushrooms in some of Dr. Andrew Weil's books on health and healing, and in traditonal Chinese medicine reference texts. I read about the clinical trials with Reishi on an AIDS website, I think-- they're a great place to keep up to date on current research on virology. Thinking good thoughts as always, Linda P. -------------------------------------- From: AskforArt Date sent: Sun, 18 Jan 1998 04:08:23 EST To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Subject: Re: Sasha Organization: AOL (http://www.aol.com) Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Carol, I'm so sorry to hear about Sasha. I know how hard it is to watch a precious little life slip away in your hands. The Chinese have a word--joss-- that simply means destiny. It is not good or bad, it just IS. Sasha came into your lives to bring you love and joy. Be grateful that she was part of your joss, and never blame yourself for her joss. It was hers long before she was yours. -------------------------------------- Date sent: Sun, 18 Jan 1998 09:07:30 -0500 From: albobo To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Subject: Re: Thanks for the advice Send reply to: felvtalk@MailingList.net Linda P. Thanks for the information on the herpes - I have never heard of using the colloidal silver for herpes - I really don't know what that is - can you tell me??? I'm so glad that it helped Scooter! I'll have to run it by my vet! She does homeopathic and allopathic and is very open to learning about new things! > Also, Scooter's eye had been chemically burned from meds given by a > "conventional" vet, and his eye was close to bursting when I took him to the > homeopath. Do you remember what meds burned his eye??? My Smokey has the most gorgeous round blue eyes! Except of course when there is a herpes flareup! And you never have a warning of a flareup! Thanks again, Linda! I say part of it because there was a picture attached to it. I've removed the picture because binaries are not allowed on discussion lists. Binaries are files of types like pictures, sounds, Word Perfect and Word documents, etc. The general rule is that, if you can't type it in your email editor, you probably shouldn't send it. Binaries are generally very large and take alot of time to download. For those that are paying by the minute for their service, this can get quite annoying. If you'd like to see the picture of Brisco, ask Barb privately to send you a copy of it. Thanks. -------------------------Forwarded Message----------------------------------- From: Newtanator Date: Sun, 18 Jan 1998 11:29:12 EST To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Subject: Re: herpes Kathy, Brisco has been a very lucky little cat. He, Duncan and Macbeth were retrieved from a confused patients house who was giving them 2% milk, watered down "to go farther". She loved her kitties, but was so out of it, she didn't realize she was starving them. Both Bris and Dunc had HUGE hernias that needed to be repaired. They are horribly inbred and my vet calls them "my mutants". My son fell in love with brisco and when he got his own house he took Brisco, Oliver, an orange tabby with him. He also took a long haired Black kitten for me. Larry spent and hour and half driving him to an eye specialist in Detroit. We sat for over an hour, saw the drs. attendant for about 20 while she got his history and did a few tests, then saw the Dr for about 5 minutes! but the news was good so it was worth it. Cost him $125 bucks to. All three are fat and happy. Duncan is one of my positives, or he was a year ago, but he is quite healthy and when I can set the money aside, I am going to have an IFA run on him to see if he is still active. But he has never had a sick day in his life. I did stick a picture in the email. Guess that doesn't work to well. Will stick it on as an attachment, just so you can see how cute Brisco was when he was a baby. He weighs about 13 lbs now. Right now it's just so hard and I miss her so very much. She was a very special little girl that gave so much to everyone she came in contact with that I can't make any sense out of why God would not want her to stay here longer. Don't we have enough bad things that go on in this world and it seems that when something good comes along he takes it away. That's what makes it so hard. Thanks again. I know that no words anyone can offer can lessen the deep pain you are feeling now. Please take comfort in the fact that you did absolutely everything possible for her-- you did _absolutely_ nothing wrong. Also take heart that she is not longer uncomfortable or sick, she will be happilly playing for many years until you will meet her again. I know many have referred to "The Rainbow Bridge" for some it is cheesy, for me it was helpful to imagine my Dempsy and Smudge playing together, waiting for me. I thought it might be helpful to you to read it in its entirety if you haven't before. So I included it at the end of this e-mail. Please do take time to greive for her. Do take comfort that with each day the pain will lessen just a bit. I cannot say that it will ever go away. Many on this list have already said that their heart still aches when they remember the pets they have lost. We lost Dempsey nearly two years ago now, and my eyes still welled up with tears when I read your message about Sasha, tears for Dempsey, tears for Sasha, and tears for you, knowing how much you must hurt right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and with Sasha. Jennifer The Rainbow Bridge There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge, there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water, and warm Spring weather. Those old and frail animals are young again. Those who have been maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other. Some of them here are different. They were beaten, starved, tortured, and unloved. They watch wistfully as their friends leave one by one, to cross the bridge with their special person. For them there is no one, no special one. Their time on earth did not give them one. But one day, as they run and play, they notice someone standing by the road to the bridge. This person wistfully watches the reunions of friends, for in their life, they had no pet. They were beaten, starved, tortured, and unloved. As they stand there alone, one of the unloved pets comes up to them, curious as to why this one is alone. And as the they get nearer to each other, a miracle occurs, for these are the ones who were meant to be together. Their special person, their beloved pet, although on Earth they never met. With the meeting of two souls, the pain and the sorrow disappears, and two friends are together. Then they cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.
