This is what I was concerned about, but a cat book that I mentioned in one of my earlier messages recommends this for milder cases. I had somewhat of a new development last night. I noticed the scaly patches I was treating seemed to have died off. As I was lightly rubbing Copley last night, as this has been somewhat itchy for him, I noticed much of it was falling off. I was able to get the majority off his chest and the side benefit is that Copley loved the rubbed down. There are some patches that are newer and therefore still need treatment, but I think what I have been doing has ended up working out. And no big ugly pills and major fights for poor Copley. Thanks for all the help and suggestions! - Cheryl DeSantis Account Executive Bradmark, Inc. 4265 San Felipe Suite 800 Houston, TX 77027 800-621-2808 http://www.bradmark.com ------------------------------------ From: Newtanator Date: Wed, 7 Jan 1998 16:31:38 EST To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Cc: rdc@corax.com, army@geneseo.net Subject: Merlin update Reply-To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Hello All, I am so excited I can hardly contain myself. Merlin is trying to crawl!!! He has what we call in the business "purposeful movement". The greatest improvement is in his right front leg. I fact, I put him on the floor because I was afraid he would fall off his chair. His left front leg is not responding as well as the right, but hey, two weeks ago I was actually thinking about where I would bury him, a week ago he could only lay flat and not even lift up his head and now I'm afraid he may crawl out of the chair!! He may backslide, or maybe this is as good as he will get, but I am so thrilled I had to share it will all of you. One of the highlights of my life will be when Merlin WALKS out of his carrier at the vets. He also not only holds his head up but turns and watches all the goings on with great interest. I have used a little of this and alittle of that from all the tips I got and by golly folks, maybe, just maybe we will win one. Keep the prayers, vibes, chants, voodoo dolls what ever you believe in coming!! This is what keeps me going...when they are really down and we give them everything we've got and they turn around even if its just a little. In addition to treatment, I truly believe that our support and affection are just as important to these little ones. Although many people are supportive of my efforts I think they feel I'm only setting myself up for great disappointment. I know it is a struggle and the odds are against success, but as long as I can be a part of providing a happy and loved filled environment all I care about is each day. I'm doing for Copley exaclty what I would do for anyone so near and dear to me. Any effort they make to help themselves as a result of the care you have continuously provided is a reward! - Cheryl DeSantis Account Executive Bradmark, Inc. 4265 San Felipe Suite 800 Houston, TX 77027 800-621-2808 http://www.bradmark.com ----------------------------------- From: "Steve Lackow" To: Subject: Re: Merlin update Date: Wed, 7 Jan 1998 14:32:45 -0800 Reply-To: felvtalk@MailingList.net Fantastic, Barb, fantastic! My two little ones start on interferon and shots Monday. So far they have been healthy. I hope Merlin continues to make progress. He's lucky he has a loving mother like you.
