How are memories like a river?

Memories are like a river because they both flow and there are both different parts to them. Memories flow through your head very fast like the way a river flows down stream. Also there are many types of memories and different parts of them just like there are many types of rivers and many parts to them. There can be big ones and little ones wide rivers and deep. In a river there are forks and bends just like in a memories there can be forks and bends. These forks and bends are different though because you forget different things than what really happened.
