The first site I found was about life in the Middle Ages. This site is very informative and has many things to know about how life was in the Middle Ages. It talks about becoming a knight, the clothing that people wore back then, food and feasts, knights and their armor, weapons, castles, commoners, jousts and tournaments, medieval monks, weapons of the foot soldiers, cathedrals, the Crusades, monks and nuns and lastly women of the middle ages. For each topic the page show a picture and a few fact about each thing. This site was written by the students of a teacher so it is very easy to understand and a lot of fun to visit. I used for the medieval journal I did and found that it helped me a lot with the kind of information I was looking for. I think that this website has to do a lot with the things we are doing in class because it mentions many topics that are from the book. It gives about the same information but for topics like food, jousting and other things that are not mentioned it gives you an idea as to what those things were like for the people back then.

The second site I found was on the daily life of peasants. This site gives lots of information the book does not and includes things like where they lived, what they wore, the food they ate, children and schooling, marriage and divorce, and celebration and holiday. It provides many paragraphs on each and goes into depth about each topic. This has to do a lot what we are talking about in class because peasants were such a big part of the towns and they were the majority of the people. It is important to know what their life was like to understand how things went on in those times. This site provides pictures to show you what they looked like and is easy to understand and read. It explains there life in depth and how they functioned. It also describes how their homes were laid out what was in them, the types of clothes they wore and the colors, what their usual meal was, what their children were like and the rules about marriage and divorce. I found it very informational.
